May Vacation 2011 147_MG_8654

We had planned to go on vacation with the Reith family, but our travel plans fell through. Instead, the Reiths joined us at our house for a week of fun fellowship and plenty of opportunities for the children to enjoy singing & playing bluegrass gospel songs together!

When Lindsey Reith fell sick, Zach had the chance to join the Southern Raised group when they sang at Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Then  Zach & Alyssa travelled back to Missouri with the Reiths to their beautiful farm for another week of fun adventure.  They were able to attend the Reith’s performances at Silver Dollar City in Branson. 200

(The Reiths music can be heard on their website @

Sadly, their week ended too soon and they had to part ways. They were grateful to catch a ride with the Duggars to meet us in Nashville for the homeschool conference and to be able to visit with other special friends.

Dear Brothers, I’m writing from Buenos Aires and greet with the peace of our God, the be all glory and praise. How beautiful is seen together with those who praise and love the Lord, he delights in our praises, in Revelation says that praise him for all eternity, hallelujah amen. It is so important to teach our children the dedication to the ministry of music and this is addressed to him, music is very influential worldly these days especially in the young, we must remove all the lie of the devil away only makes Señor.Hermanos increasingly the ones we are in recent times, the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ on the signals are given, we find strong and united in one mind, to be part of the Lamb’s wife faithful and true. My son plays instruments in the church where we gather and also directs the Praise in the meetings of young people, grateful to the Lord about this, he learned the instrument by ear, without going to any Academy of Music is a gift God gave him, and He uses it for His glory, and we hope that other children learn too. I send you sincere greetings of peace and blessings in their lives, to continue preaching the word to anyone who is thirsty to know about it. I hope you answer me soon as your time permits, is that in a house where there are many children like mine, there is little free time, but we always do a few minutes to share with our brothers in faith experiences. Blessings

I love the videos of the Bates singing gospel songs. I think the basic gospel messages touch hearts where they are doubting and many people will come to know Jesus or get more confident in his redeeming love. as I know I have and I used these as a way to share with others too.
